Amy Holt

Meet Amy Holt: Amy is a an incredibly talented actor, model and a bright ray of sunshine. She isn’t all about winning and stepping on people to rise to the top, but being the “rising tide that lifts all boats.”

Tell Us About Yourself!

I’m a Cali native and grew up in a small town outside of Los Angeles called Chino. I discovered my passion for acting at the age of six in local community theatre. I was obsessed with everything about it and loved the way I could be my goofy self and affect people. I attended an arts high school that nurtured and challenged my love of the arts called LACHSA.

I needed a job to pay for my pursuit of acting and started modeling to pay bills. I’ve made a living acting and modeling for 10+ years now and I can’t imagine a day where I’m not expressing myself creatively. I’m passionate about people and I’m passionate about playing characters and relating to their often painful perspectives. It’s been humbling being an artist because when you are trying to relate to a character you can’t judge them no matter what that character’s done. I’ve learned from playing other people, how much we all need love.

I’ve recently started producing my own content (sketches/tutorials/etc) on my YouTube Channel and I’m thrilled to be creating with so many talented artists on such a regular basis. Creating my YouTube channel has forced me to learn to write, edit, direct, and produce. My current goals include producing movies and content that I get to act in as well as doing some directing. Ultimately I’m passionate about people and I feel called to create with purpose and encourage and love on people both on and off screen.

How Did You Get Into The Fashion Industry And What Do You Love About It?

While I was attending a theatrical audition, I was scouted by a modeling manager who introduced me to my first modeling agent. The thing I love most about modeling is the traveling around the world I’ve gotten to do and meeting so many different people.

I’m obsessed with adventure and I’m grateful for the adventures modeling has provided for me. Some of the places I’ve worked include Paris, Italy, Germany, Japan, Costa Rica, and New York. I adore different cultures and seeing their different ways of living. I don’t know if I ever would’ve known how much there is to love about this world if I hadn’t started modeling.

What Is Your Advice For Someone Getting Into The Fashion Industry?

Be yourself and don’t let people make you do things you are not comfortable doing. I love this business but it can be so powerful that it’s easy to get sucked into the flow of it’s demands. Be brave. Paddle upstream.

Remember with each new opportunity you have to ask yourself, “When I’m 90 years old will I be happy that I did this?” Try to enjoy the process, too. Whenever you get to where you think you want to be, you’ll realize you have new goals and it will never fully satisfy. Enjoying the journey is essential.

Also, help and love the people around you. I remember when I decided “Instead of competing with those around me, I’m just going to embrace them and encourage them and love them, too.” That was the best decision I ever made and it’s only bred more opportunity for us all.

#Wow | Words Of Wisdom

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” – Marianne Williamson from A Return To Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles
